Domencic Breaks Steeplechase Record; Carr, Dabrowski Earn All-AARTFC

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track & field team competed on day one of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships held on Wednesday at Susquehanna University.

Noteworthy:

* The Lions are one of 60 teams with at least one representative at the championships
* Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) earned All-AARTFC honors with third place in discus
* Dabrowski had a throw of 50.08m to earn six points for towards the team standings
* Aidan Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) set a new school record in the steeplechase with a time of 9:40.19
* Domencic broke assistant coach Kevin Gorny's record to place 11th overall
* In the pole vault, Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) took ninth place with a height of 4.42m
* On the women's side, Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) ran 11:32.56 in the steeplechase to finish seventh overall and earn All-AARTFC honors to get two points for Behrend
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) placed 10th in the pole vault, clearing 3.25m
