SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Senior thrower Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) set a new school record in the discus with a throw of 170-2 at the John Papa Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock on Thursday.

Key Moments:

* On his sixth throw of the day, Dabrowski notched his record-setting distance, surpassing his previous record of 167-9 set last season at Mount Union​.
* Freshman Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) went on to finish eighth in the discus (139-4)
Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) delivered a first-place height of 6-6 in the high jump. Hetrick also placed 10th in the long jump (20-5 3/4)
* Sophomore Aidan Reinsel (North East, PA/North East) ran a fifth-place time of 4:17.71 in the 1500
* ​In the javelin, Matthew Laslavic (Evans City, PA/Seneca Valley) (175-6) and Aiden Grieneisen (Brockway, PA/Brockway Area) (164-0) finished third and seventh, respectively
* ​Christopher Annear (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 5000m run with a time of 17:52.79, while Davis Saynuk (Columbia, MD/Howard) finished eighth in this event (18:34.03)
* ​David Gahagan (South Park, PA/South Park) placed 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:07.66
