ROCHESTER, NY – EJ Wells-Spicher recorded 32 assists on 39 team kills to lead seventh-ranked Nazareth past Penn State Behrend 3-0 in United Volleyball Conference (UVC) men's volleyball action on Wednesday night.

Brody Cord hit .471, collecting a team-best 10 kills for the Golden Flyers (14-5, 5-2 UVC).  Rob Kraft tallied nine kills on 12 attempts in the win.

The Lions (4-13, 2-5 UVC) were paced by Grant Kocher (McMurray, PA/Peters Township) with seven kills and Evan Fullerton (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) added 14 assists.

Nazareth was in control in each of the first two sets with Cord and Kraft each had five kills. The third set was closer until the Golden Flyers pulled away from an 18-18 deadlock by scoring six straight points to go up 24-18.

Behrend returns to action on Saturday, March 10 against SUNY IT at Nazareth. Match time is 1:30 p.m.
