BUFFALO, NY – The ninth-ranked Medaille men's volleyball team defeated Penn State Behrend 3-0 in non-conference action on Thursday night, posting scores of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-20.
The Mavericks were able to down the Lions (6-16) for a second time this season. Medaille earned the No. 1 seed and will host the AMCC Championships on Saturday, March 31. Behrend secured the third seed and could face the Mavericks for a third time this year in the title match.
Nate Steele (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) registered 11 kills, two aces and two digs, while Evan Fullerton (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) handed out 13 assists.
The Lions return to action on Sunday against Wells in the final regular season home match, beginning at 2 p.m.
