Capizzi Named AMCC Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

Anthony Capizzi, a senior outside hitter on the men’s volleyball team, has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athlete of the Week.

ERIE, Pa.  – Anthony Capizzi (Pittsburgh, PA/Pittsburgh Central Catholic), a senior outside hitter on the men’s volleyball team, has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athlete of the Week.

Capizzi hit .381 (11 kills) and recorded six blocks to help the Lions to a 1-1 week. He knocked in five kills with only one error and four blocks in Behrend’s 3-0 win over D'Youville. On the season, Capizzi leads the team with 37 blocks and is third in kills with 65.

The Lions return to action on Wednesday against Medaille. Match begins at 7 p.m.
