Munk, Sheehan Named All-AMCC; Pisano Coach of the Year

ERIE, Pa. – Trenton Munk (Baden, PA/Ambridge) and Ty Sheehan (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) have been named to the 2015 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men's Volleyball Team, while head coach Phil Pisano earned Co-Coach of the Year.

Munk was selected to the first team, Sheehan picked up his third consecutive second-team honors and Pisano was named Coach of the Year for the second time in his career with the men's squad. He also received the honor in 2012.

Munk, recently chosen to the All-United Volleyball Conference team, led the AMCC with a .379 hitting percentage and 106 total blocks. The sophomore's team-leading 221 kills was good for ninth in the AMCC.  Munk had double-digit kills in 10 matches and five without a hitting error, recording his best game at Hilbert with an 11-0-15 stat line for a season-best .733 hitting percentage.

Sheehan was second on the team with 244 digs, good for seventh in the conference. He led with 20 aces, knocking down three in one match on three occasions. Sheehan tallied 169 kills and 43 blocks. The senior hit .385 with a season-best 16 kills against D'Youville and registered 18 digs at Wells. Sheehan posted double-digit digs eight times. He finished his career first in service aces (67), second in digs (570) and third in kills (536).
