Munk Named AMCC Co-Player of Year; Hildebrand Earns All-Conference Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's volleyball senior middle hitter Trenton Munk (Baden, PA/Ambridge) has been named to the 2017 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Co-Player of the Year.

Munk becomes the first player in program history to earn this honor. He was also selected to the All-AMCC first team for the third time in his career, while Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) was selected to the second team.

Munk led the AMCC in hitting percentage (.398) and blocks per set (1.20), and is fifth in kills per set (277). He ranked second nationally in blocks per set and was in the Top 15 in the nation in hitting percentage. This season, he became the career leader in kills and blocks. Munk hit .310 with 2.5 kills per set against the eight nationally ranked teams.

Hildebrand is only one of two freshmen on the All-Conference squad. He ranked second on the team in kills (237) and service aces (18), while ranking fourth in digs (119). Hildebrand averaged 2.72 kills per set, recording double-digit kills in 12 contests including a season-high 16 on three occasions.
