Behrend Men's Volleyball Sweeps Medaille in AMCC Action

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team defeated Medaille 3-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.

* Behrend picked up its fourth straight win over the Mavericks while handing them their first conference loss
* The Lions keep an unblemished AMCC record heading into a conference quad weekend
* Colin Dedert (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) was instrumental in getting the final two offensive points on kills in the first set to give Behrend a 1-0 lead after a 25-21 win
* Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) had five kills on six attempts in the first set
* Medaille had 14 service errors, including one by Shawn Barbalato for the final point in the second set to push the lead to 2-0
* The Lions had a 23-18 lead in the second and managed to hold on at 25-23
* Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) served seven straight points to begin the third set
* The lead grew to 12 at 21-9 after a Mavericks attack error
* Behrend had five kills, three aces and five blocks in the third set
* Schnur finished with a near perfect game, hitting .692 with nine kills on 13 total attempts
* Adrian Martinez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) led with eight digs, while Jake Albert (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) added 16 assists, seven digs, three blocks and two kills
* Cody Geis (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) got two block assists to get to 200 for his career
