Three Named to AMCC Men's Volleyball All-Conference Team

ERIE, Pa. – Three Penn State Behrend men's volleyball players were named to the 2020 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team, announced on Tuesday.

Senior Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) was voted on the first team, while JP Goodsell (Corry, PA/Corry) and Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) received second-team honors.

Hildebrand completes his career earning his fourth All-AMCC honor. The outside hitter and the AMCC Preseason Player of the Year, tallied his third nod on the first team. Hildebrand most recently was named the team's Most Valuable Player. He ranked third in the AMCC in aces per set (0.38) and was fourth in kills per set (3.45) in the 17 matches the Lions played. Hildebrand led the team in kills (207), service aces (23) and in points per set (4.0). He posted double-digit kills in 11 matches, recording a pair of double-doubles. Hildebrand registered a career-high 18 digs to go with 16 kills in a 3-2 win over Randolph Macon. The senior set the program record for kills last season and eclipsed 1,000 kills this season.

Goodsel and Schnur were selected to the All-AMCC team for the first time in their careers.  Goodsel, a junior outside hitter, ranked second on the team in kills with 155 and third in total blocks with 35. He also sits eighth in the AMCC in kills per set (2.50). In the season opener, Goodsel hit a career-best .519 attack percentage and tallied a career-high 16 kills. Goodsel registered double-digit kills in seven matches, getting his first collegiate double-double with 16 kills and 12 digs in the win over Randolph Macon.

Schnur, a sophomore middle hitter, leads the league in hitting percentage at .360. He has 119 kills to rank third on the team with only 32 errors on 242 attempts. Schnur is second on the team in blocks with 41. He tallied a career-best .778 attack percentage with seven kills on nine attempts in a 3-0 win over St. Vincent. Schnur recorded at least one block in all but two matches and posted a season-best six against Geneva. He registered double-digit kills in three matches with a season high of 12 vs. Mt. St. Joseph.
