ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's volleyball freshman outside hitter Logan Hering (North East, PA/North East) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athlete of the Week.

Hering led the Lions to a 2-1 record last week, including a conference win over St. Vincent. Hering had double-digit kills in two of the three matches. He posted a .426 hitting percentage to go with 34 kills and 18 digs. Hering had two perfect matches, going 12-for-19 vs. Thiel and 8-for-14 in an AMCC win over St. Vincent. He averaged 4.1 points per set and added seven service aces.

Behrend is back in action on Wednesday at Thiel for an AMCC contest. Match begins at 7 p.m.
