Behrend Volleyball Heads to Thiel for AMCC Tri-Match Sunday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team will face Thiel and Mount Aloysius on Sunday in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) tri-match in Greenville, Pa. The Lions battle the Tomcats at 11 a.m. followed by the Mounties at 1 p.m.

* The Behrend Lions are looking to add two more wins to their week after defeating Mt. Union and Hilbert
* The Lions swept Hilbert 25-14, 25-14, 25-18 on Wednesday night
* JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) and Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) combined for 21 of Behrend's 45 team kills
* Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) had a .800 attack percentage with eight kills on 10 attempts, while Schnur hit .529 with 10 kills on 17 attempts with one error
* Jack Winterhalter (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville) was instrumental in the win over the Hawks with a season-best five service aces
* Goodsel has registered double-digit kills each match this week
* Earlier this season, Behrend defeated Thiel 3-2 in a non-conference contest
