Behrend Men's Volleyball Falls to No. 1 Springfield in NCAA Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team fell 3-0 to the top-ranked Springfield Pride in the first round of the NCAA Championships held on Friday afternoon. 

Score: Springfield 3, Penn State Behrend 0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-9)
Records: Penn State Behrend (22-8), Springfield (27-1)

Key Moments:

* The Springfield Pride extends their winning streak to 14 straight matches to advance in the NCAA Tournament
* The Pride hit .614 with 41 kills on 57 attempts with six errors over six sets
* Jarrett Anderson had a match-high 12 kills on 14 attempts with no errors
* Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) led the Lions with six kills, while Diego Ortiz (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) handed out 11 assists
* JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) and Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) each added four kills
* Springfield edged Behrend 25-19 in the first set and only allowed 17 points over the next two sets to advance
