ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team swept Carlow in the first-ever meeting between the two teams on Wednesday night in the Junker Center.

Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Carlow 0 (29-27, 25-17, 25-21)

Key Moments:

* The Lions used 43 kills and eight team blocks to defeat the Celtics in straight sets
* Behrend had set point on five occasions to start the match
* Dylan Buzalka (Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley) and Cameron Schleicher (Meadville, PA/Meadville) won the final two points with a kill apiece to win 29-27
* With the second set tied 10-all, Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) tallied a pair of kills in a 4-0 run to give the Lions the lead for good
* Carlow grabbed a five-point lead in the third at 15-10, but Behrend won the next 11 out of 17 points to close the match in three
* Wienczkowski led with nine kills on 21 attempts with one error to go with three blocks, while Buzalka added eight kills and seven digs
* Adrian Martinez (San Juan, PR/Wesleyan Academy) moved 16 digs closer to the school record and now needs 19 to surpass the mark
* Schleicher finished with seven kills and seven digs
* Josh Elegeer (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) posted six kills, four digs and four block assists
* Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) dished out 34 assists while recording seven digs and six kills
