ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team defeated Geneva in their home opener, posting a 3-1 win on day one of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) vs. Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) Invitational on Friday night.

* After tying the match with an extra-points in the second set, the Lions hit .450 and registered seven team blocks in the third to take momentum into the fourth
* The Golden Tornadoes tried to force a fifth set, tying the set 12 times to go with six lead changes
* In the fourth set, Cameron Schleicher (Meadville, PA/Meadville) led with seven kills on 16 attempts, knocking in the final kill for the win at 25-23
* Schleicher finished with a season-high 16 kills with five digs
* Caden Mealy (Meadville, PA/Meadville) was behind 26 assists, six digs and three kills, while Luke Mumpower (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) led the team with 16 digs
* Kyle Hoffman (Carlton, PA/Cochranton) added 10 kills and six digs
* Lewis Rhodes (Reston, VA/South Lakes) tallied five blocks and seven kills
