Men's Volleyball Drops Non-Conference Match to Mt. Union

ERIE, Pa. – The Mt. Union men's volleyball team tallied a 3-0 win over Penn State Behrend in non-conference action on Tuesday night in the Junker Center.

Score: Mt. Union 3, Penn State Behrend 0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-22)

* The Purple Raiders won in straight sets for their third consecutive win
* Mt. Union tallied 16 kills in the first set to post a 25-17 decision
* The second set had 13 ties and six lead changes
* Behrend had set point at 24-22 after a Purple Raider attack error
* Mt. Union capitalized on a pair of errors and then used a service ace and a kill from Jacob Nussdorfer to take a 2-0 lead in the match with a 26-24 win
* The Lions grabbed the lead a couple times in the third and tying it down the stretch at 17-all
* The Purple Raiders relied on two kills from Jack McClure and two from Michael Bowler to hold off a fourth set to win 25-22
* Kyle Hoffman (Carlton, PA/Cochranton) and Joseph Sciscio (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South) tied with six kills each
* Luke Mumpower (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) had 20 assists, five service aces and four kills
* Cameron Schleicher (Meadville, PA/Meadville) had a team-best six digs, four kills, four blocks and three aces
