Lions Fall to Connecticut College at Navy Invite
The Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team dropped two games on Saturday at the Navy Invitational. The Lions fell 16-8 to Connecticut College before being upended by No. 15 Navy, XX-XX.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team fell 18-8 to Connecticut College in their opening game of the Navy Invitational on Saturday morning.
In their first game of the day, Behrend fell behind early and could not overcome a slow opening quarter.
The Lions (1-4) came back strong after only scoring once in the first. Behrend tied the Camels 4-4 in the second quarter and trailed 8-5 at the break. Connecticut College bounced back though with 10 second half goals to earn the victory.
Ali Khan (Lake Zurich, IL/Stevenson) netted four goals to lead the Lions. Hunter Backenstose (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown East) and Adam Glick (Bonita, CA/Bonita Vista) each scored twice. Ty Elder (Brentwood, CA/Heritage) made eight saves in net.
