ERIE, Pa. – Raz Yuval scored seven goals propelling Gannon past the Penn State Behrend men's water polo team 18-6 in a match-up of two Erie schools Friday night at the Junker Center.

Erie native Michael Squeglia added three goals for the Golden Knights, who won their first game of 2013.

Victor Nguyen (San Jose, CA/Evergreen Valley) put the Lions on the board with a wraparound goal midway through the second period to cut the Gannon lead to four. The Knights would respond, however, scoring the final three goals of the first half to take a commanding 8-1 lead into the break.

Logan McCartny (San Diego, CA/LaJolla) scored two second-half goals to bring Behrend within seven, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.

The Lions will host a twin bill Saturday at the Junker Center. Behrend will take on Washington and Jefferson at noon and Salem International at 4 p.m.
