In the nightcap, Victor Nguyen's (San Jose, CA/Evergreen Valley) three goals weren't enough for Penn State Behrend as the Lions fell to La Verne, 18-7. Behrend battled, however, outscoring the Leopards 7-5 in the second half. McCartny added two more goals for the Lions, and Vink and Aaron Figurski (Erie, PA/McDowell) each scored once.

Behrend's west coast swing continues Saturday, when they take on Cal Lutheran and CalTech at Whittier College.
