ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team defeated Caltech on Saturday in its season-opener by a score of 14-10.
The win marks the teams first win since November 3rd, 2012 when the Lions defeated Salem, 16-15.
Justin Vink, (Los Angeles, CA/Granada Hills Charter) Carson Williamson (Stockton, CA/Franklin-Stagg Sr.) and Matt Johnson (Houston, TX/Cypress Falls) all scored three goals. Nic Pabich (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) and Victor Nguyen (San Jose, CA/Evergreen Valley) also chipped in with two goals apiece. John Ingari (York, PA/Central York) netted one goal in the win.
In the net, Ty Elder (Brentwood, CA/Heritage) contributed five steals and 15 saves.
Behrend continues their run at the Navy Invitational tomorrow at 2:15 pm against Navy.
