PRINCETON, N.J. - Matthew Johnson's (Houston, TX/Cypress Falls) three goals led the Penn State Behrend men's water polo team past Monmouth (3-9) Saturday night by a score of 7-3. The Lions (3-18) scored four fourth quarter goals to claim the victory.

In Behrend's third game of the day the defense stood strong limiting Monmouth to only three goals in the contest and only one in the second half. Ty Elder (Brentwood, CA/Heritage) made 12 saves in the net and snatched one steal.

Carson Williamson (Stockton, CA/Franklin-Stagg), Victor Nguyen (San Jose, CA/Evergreen Valley), Troy Valkusky (Drifton, PA/Hazleton) and Morgan Harris (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) all pitched in a goal each.

The Lions take on Salem tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the ninth place game.
