Men's Water Polo Falls In Final Match of Navy Open

ANNAPOLIS, Md - The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team drop their last match in the Navy Open Sunday morning against Iona, 18-5.

Leading the way for the Lions (0-4) was freshman Andre Sardaryzadeh (Murrieta, CA/Elsinore), who scored two goals and gave Behrend great opportunities on offense with two drawn ejections. Isaak Hatopp (Saline, MI/Saline) added a goal and two drawn ejections as well.

With Sardaryzadeh and Hatopp's drawn ejections, the Lions had four great chances with a man up, but the Gaels' (2-1) offense proved to be too much for Behrend.

Ben Katsarsky (Syracuse, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) added one goal for the Lions in the match.

Penn State Behrend will be back in the water on Saturday, September 10th in the Mercyhurst Invite against Lindenwood. Match starts at 9:30 a.m.
