NEW LONDON, Ct - The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team competed in their final game of the weekend Sunday morning, falling to Cal Lutheran, 19-3.

Three differnt Lions (0-10) scored in the contest. Junior driver Troy Valkusky (Drifton, PA/Hazelton) found the back of the net first followed by Isaak Hatopp (Saline, MI/Saline) and Andre Sardaryzadeh (Murrieta, CA/Elsinore).

The Kingsmen (3-3) came out hot, scoring seven goals in the first period and then adding three more in the second. Behrend looked to mount a comeback. At the 5:02 mark of the third period Valkusky put the Lions on the board. Behrend would strike again twice before the end of the third. Hatopp and Sardaryzadeh's goals would make the score 13-3 but unfortunately it wouldn't be enough. The Kingsmen would eventually go on a 7-0 run to end the game.

Valkusky also added an assist and three steals in the Lions effort. Nick Catanzarite (Columbus, OH/Worthinton Kilbourne) added four steals and three saves in net for Behrend.

The Lions will be back in the water Saturday, September 24th when they take on Gannon in Salem, VA. Game time is still TBA.
