ERIE, Pa. - Five players on the Penn State Behrend men's water polo team were recognized by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) for their academic accomplishments outside of the pool.

The ACWPC divided athletes into three teams based on cumulative grade-point average. 111 athletes received Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 162 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 115 Excellent (3.40-3.20) honors.

Gibson Hoce (Palm Harbor, FL/Palm Harbor University High) and Cameron Makin (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) were both recognized on the Excellent team for achieving cumulative GPAs of 3.20-3.40. Mike Geary (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) and Greg Kinzler (Kiski, PA/Agora Charter Cyber School) were acknowledged on the Superior team for maintaining a GPA of 3.41-3.70. Austin Hoff (Lake Forest, CA/El Toro) was recognized on the Outstanding team for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.71-4.00.
