Three Named to ACWPA Division III All-America Team

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's water polo junior Matt Olimski (San Diego, CA/Otay Ranch), senior Isaak Hatopp (Saline, MI/Saline) and senior Andre Sardaryzadeh (Murrieta, CA/Elsinore) have been named to the 2019 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division III All-America Team. Olimski made the second team while Hatopp and Sardaryzadeh were named Honorable Mention.

Olimski was named to the All-American team for the second time in his career, after being named to the Honorable Mention team last year. He is the second player in program history to be named All-American Second Team. Olimski is one of 16 top Division III water polo players with this honor. He helped lead the team to a fifth-place finish in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) tournament and third place at the DIII Eastern Championship. Olimski was named to the DIII Eastern Championship All-Tournament team while picking up All-MPSF Honorable Mention honors. He tallied 266 saves and 43 steals on the season.

Hatopp and Sardaryzadeh were named to the Honorable Mention team. This is the second consecutive All-American Honorable Mention for Hatopp and a first time for Sardaryzadeh. Hatopp was named to the DIII Eastern Championship All-Tournament team and broke the school record for most career field blocks tallying 49 throughout his four years. Sardaryzadeh led the team with 38 goals while Hatopp had a team-high 56 points on 36 goals and 20 assists.
