Men’s Water Polo Concluded Regular Season With Win Over W&J At Austin Invitational

DALLAS, Texas – The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team finished the regular season with two games at the Austin Invitational.
Match One
Score: Augustana 18, Penn State Behrend 8
Records: Augustana (12-5), Penn State Behrend (6-16)
Key Moments:
* Jack Holl (Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) delivered five of Behrend's eight goals against the Vikings
* Freshmen Atticus Bowman (Albuquerque, NM/Volcano Vista) added two scores and Dylan Hayslip (Flower Mound, TX/Marcus) found the back of the net once. Bowman also dished out a team-high two assists
* On the defensive end, Will Aikens (La Grange Park, IL/Lyons Township) recorded two steals for the Lions
* Goalies Ethan Friedman (Valley Center, CA/Valley Center) and Andy Zhuri (Houston, TX/Stratford) combined for 7 saves in Behrend's first contest of the day
* Both teams finished with 12 steals apiece on Sunday

Key Moments:
* Nick Thompson scored a game-high four goals for Behrend
* Freshmen Evan Blasky (Rockford, MI/Rockford) and Hayslip each registered hat-tricks against the Presidents
* Holl added two scores in the Lions final game of the invite
* Bowman notched a game-high five assists, while five players had two takeaways on the defensive end
* Friedman made 11 saves in net
* As a team, Behrend outshot 39 percent (14-for-36) compared to 28 percent (8-for-29), while holding the advantage in steals (14-6)
* For the second straight season, the Lions have matched the program record of seven victories
* With this win, Behrend earns the sixth seed in the MPSF Tournament
