Lions Compete at Inter-Regional Rumble
The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team finished in 27th place on Saturday at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio.
OBERLIN, Ohio - The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team finished in 27th place on Saturday at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio.
The Lions placed four runners in the top 200 with Denis Lydon (Plum, PA/Plum) leading the way.
Lydon clocked in with a time of 27:04 to earn a 68th place finish. Carl Kallgren (Erie, PA/McDowell) finished with a time of 28:15 to finish 168th.
A total of 315 runners competed in the 8K race hosted by Oberlin College. Andrew Mason (Wilmington, DE/Concord) and Alex Myers (Oakmont, PA/Riverview) contributed with strong times. Mason finished with a time of 28:29 while Myers came in at 28:31. Jason Zabelsky (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) rounded out the top five for Behrend with a time of 28:31.
The Lions will get the week off before returning to the course on October 29th for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championships in Grand Island, NY. Start time is 11 a.m.
