Lions Host Behrend Invitational
The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team hosted the Behrend Invitational on Saturday morning.
ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team hosted the Behrend Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Lions had five runners place in the top-25 to earn fourth place as a team.
Denis Lydon (Plum, PA/Plum) took seventh place with a time of 26:51.4 to lead the Behrend men. Michael Smolinski (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) came in a 27:24.8 for 14th place.
Jason Zabelsky (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) ran strong in the Lions second meet with a time of 27:32.8 for 17th place. Andrew Mason (Wilmington, DE/Concord) and Matt McWilliams (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) rounded out the Behrend top-five. Mason took 24th place with a time of 27:51.7 while McWilliams placed 25th at 27:54.8.
The Lions will be back in action on Sept 29 at the Dickinson Invitational at 11 a.m.
