Lions Dominate Mt. Aloysius Invitational

CRESSON, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team won the Mt. Aloysius Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

The Lions took home the top five spots in the field of 54.

Denis Lydon (Plum, PA/Plum) led the way with a time of 29:19.0 for first place.  Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) was just behind Lydon at 29:19.3 for second place. Michael Smolinski (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) took third after crossing the line at 29:19.8.

Two first year runners rounded out the Behrend top-five.  Matt McWilliams (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and Tyler Yost (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) took fourth and fifth place respectively. McWilliams came in at 29:19.9 with Yost finishing in 29:21.2.

The Lions will be back in action on October 13 at the Inter-Regional Rumble.  Start time is set for 11 a.m.
