NEWVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team ran at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday morning.
A total of 343 runners competed in the 8K race with the Lions placing 25th as a team.
Denis Lydon (Plum, PA/Plum) paced Behrend with a 65th place finish at 27:04.0. Andrew Mason (Wilmington, DE/Concord) ran well, finishing with a time of 28:12.1 for 137th place.
Jason Zabelsky (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) took 148th place after finishing in 28:18.7. Freshman Matt McWilliams (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf), the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Co-Newcomer of the Year, took 155th place at 28:24.4. Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) rounded out the top-five runners with a time of 28:42.6 for 172nd place.
