STEUBENVILLE, Oh. - The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team won the Franciscan Invitational placing five of the top seven finishers. Devin Beggs (Franklin, PA/Franklin) won the 8k race with a time of 28:37, nine seconds better than the next finisher.

Freshman Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) and Sophomore Jake DeWeese (Freedom, PA/Freedom Area) tied for second finishing with a time of 28:46.

Jacob Parsons (Titusville, PA/Maplewood) and Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy - Strong Vincent) also paced Behrend with 5th and 7th place finishes with times of 29:12 and 29:39 respectively.

The Lions also had strong outings from Freshman Ian Griffith (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) and Junior Cody Cornell (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Lake) who finished 12th and 13th with times of 30:12 and 30:14.

The Penn State Behrend Invitational will be held next Saturday at 11:00 am.
