Lions Compete at Oberlin Invitational

OBERLIN, Oh. - The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team finished 22nd out of 33 teams Saturday at the Oberlin Invitational. As a team Behrend finished with a score of 608. Devin Beggs (Franklin, PA/Franklin) led the way for the Lions finishing in 99th place. Beggs ran an 8k time of 27:10.8, which was also tops for any AMCC runner at the event.

Coming in second for Behrend was Jacob Parsons (Titusville, PA/Maplewood). The freshman took 137th place running a time 27:37.2. Behind Parsons, Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academey-Strong Vincent) finished with a time of27:53.4, good for 146th place.

Finishing 155th was Jake DeWeese (Freedom, PA/Freedom Area). DeWeese ran a 28:02.5, fifth on the team. Running a time of 28:12, Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) took 162nd place.

The Lions are off next weekend and will gear up for the AMCC Championship hosted by Franciscan November 1st. The start time is set for Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
