Lion's Take Fifth at Harry F. Anderson Invitational
The Penn State Behrend men’s cross country team placed fifth out of 24 teams with a total score of 205 at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday morning.
ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team placed fifth out of 24 teams with a total score of 205 at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday morning.
Each of the Lion's top five runners improved on their times from their meet last week at home. Jacob Parsons (Titusville, PA/Maplewood) led Behrend with a total time of 26:35.1 earning him a 19th place finish.
Parsons was followed by Devin Beggs (Franklin, PA/Franklin) and Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) who finished in 24th and 29th overall. Beggs crossed the finish with a total time of 26:44.1 and Buffington finished with a time 26:48.4.
Senior Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy - Strong Vincent) placed in the 56th position with a total time of 27:38.1. Ian Griffith (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) rounded out Behrend's top five with a time of 28:12.8 giving him a 77th place finish.
The Lions return to action on October 10 when they travel to Gannon. The race is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.
