Lions Take Second at A Run in the Park

ERIE, Pa – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team took second place out of five teams at A Race in the Park hosted by Gannon and Mercyhurst with a total score of 68 finishing behind only Lake Erie College on Saturday morning.

All of the Lion's top five runners finished in the top 20. Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy-Strong Vincent) led Behrend with a time of 27:39.4 earning him a seventh place overall finish.

Cody Cornell (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Lake) came in second on the Lions team with an 11th place overall finish with a time of 27:51.3. Devin Beggs (Franklin, PA/Franklin) followed Natalie and Cornell with a time of 28:05.5 which earned him a 12th place overall finish.

Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) and Victor Kolbin (Westport, CT/Staples) finished two seconds apart to round out Behrend's top five. Buffington took an 18th place finish with a time of 28:24.4 and Kolbin finished 20th overall with a time of 28:26.4.

The Lions are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Oberlin for a 10 a.m. start.
