Beggs Leads Lions at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Oh. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team took a 22nd place finish out of 32 teams at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble 8k Saturday morning. They finished with a total score of 599.

Devin Beggs (Franklin, PA/Franklin) led the way for the Lions with a time of 25:43.9, earning him an 87th place finish overall. Ian Griffith (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) crossed the finish line second for Behrend with a time of 26:00.4, resulting in a 108th place finish.
Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy-Strong Vincent) finished the race just two seconds behind Griffith in the 111th position. He crossed the finish line with a time of 26:02.9
Cody Cornell (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Lake) finished fourth in the Lions' scoring with a 130th place overall finish, running a time of 26:28.1. Closing Behrend's top five was Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) in 163rd place. Buffington finished with a final time of 27:02.2.
The Lions return to action next Saturday to host the AMCC Championships. The race is set to start at 11 a.m.
