Lions Compete At Rowan; Buffington Sets Behrend Record

GLASSBORO, NJ - The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team competed at Rowan in the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle, finishing 30th out of 43 teams.

Junior Dylan Buffington (Brookeville, PA/Brookville) finished with a time of 24:22.3, the fastest time in Behrend history. His 5:02 7.8k pace was good enough for 30th place overall in a field of nearly 400 runners.

SUNY Geneseo, currently ranked first in the country, won the race with a team score of 71. Fifth-ranked MIT finished in second (127) while No. 11 RPI finished third (168).

Jacob Parsons (Titusville, PA/Maplewood) finished second for the Lions and 149th overall with a time of 25:44.9. Ian Griffith (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) rounded out the top three for behrend with a time of 26:33.1.

The Lions will be back in action when they look to capture another AMCC Championship on October 30th. The race is set to start at 11 a.m.
