Men's Cross Country Races at Mid-East Regional
Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) was named to the All-Region team as he raced to a 33rd overall finish out of 351 runners at the NCAA Mid-East Regional Saturday afternoon hosted by DeSales.
CENTER VALLEY, Pa - Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) was named to the All-Region team as he raced to a 33rd overall finish out of 351 runners at the NCAA Mid-East Regional Saturday afternoon hosted by DeSales.
The Penn State Behrend men's team finished 20th out of 52 teams with a combined score of 568.
Buffington, the AMCC Runner of the Year, finished with a time of 25:57 while keeping a 5:14 mile pace in the meet of over 350 runners. Jacob Parsons (Titusville, PA/Maplewood) Ian Griffith (Murrsyville, PA/Franklin Regional) and Aaron Peters (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) were the next three to cross the line for the Lions. Parsons' 26:49 time was good enough for 89th place. Griffith and Peters finished with times of 27:06 and 27:40, respectively, for 109th and 159th place.
Freshman Chris Drozynski (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) and Alex Kubala (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) along with junior Jarrod Lipsey (Kersey, PA/St. Mary's Area) also finished in the top seven for Behrend.
Drozynski finished in 178th place with a time of 27:52 while Kubala came in seveth for the Lions and 223rd overall (28:41). Lipsey's 27:54 time was good enough for 183rd palce overall.
Behrend finishes their season as AMCC Champs for the sixth straight year and first place team finishers in four races.
