Men's and Women's Cross Country Earn All-Academic Status, Myers Claims Individual Honors

ERIE, Pa. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the 2021 All-Academic Athletes and Teams yesterday with both the Penn State Behrend men's and women's cross country teams earning honors.

Both teams were awarded All-Academic status, qualifying for the accolade by carrying a grade-point average (GPA) above 3.10. The men's cross country team finished 2021 with a 3.21 GPA and the women's side finished with a 3.23.

Individually, Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) was named an All-Academic Athlete for having a GPA of at least 3.30 and finishing in the top-25 percent at the NCAA Regional. Myers was able to take home 24th place in the regional event, clocking in with a time of 26:03.4.
