ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team scored a first-place finish as the host of the PSB Invitational Friday evening.

* Behrend eased its way to victory with a team score of 15, while Alfred (53) notched second and Westminster (Pa.) (71) rounded out the field
* The top six of the event featured Lions as Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) led the way with a first-place time of 26:52.5
* Klein finished with an average mile time of 5:24
* Sophomore Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) was right behind Klein with a time of 27:28.3 to finish second
* Third and fourth-place were earned by Lucas Boyd (27:45.1) (North East, PA/North East) in his second collegiate meet and junior Christopher Annear (28:21.0) (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia)
* The duo of Aidan Reinsel (North East, PA/North East) and Aidan Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) rounded out the top six with time of 28:29.4 and 28:32.3 respectively
* A pair of freshman recorded eighth and 10th place finishes. Peyton Brewer (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) registered a time of 28:56.2 for eighth place, while Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell) ran a time of 29:03.4 to finish 10th
* Fellow freshman Davis Saynuk (Columbia, MD/Howard) wasn't too far behind Pierce, placing 11th with a time of 29:26.6
* 19 runners competed for the Lions Friday evening
