What are your general thoughts on how the season started down in Clermont, Florida and where do you feel like your team stands right now?
We have a young team right now and still have a lot to
learn. However, they did grow as a unit throughout the
week. In order to be successful, the team needs to put the
bat on the ball on a more consistent basis. The defense did
come through in clutch situations. Our goal coming back from
Florida is to stay with the simplest thing: Fundamentals.
Who is performing particularly well for the team right
now?
I was very impressed with all of our pitchers. Each of
them worked hard and gave us everything they had. They hit
their spots, worked the corners, and came with composure.
What does the league competition in the AMCC look like this
season?
The league keeps getting stronger and stronger each year.
You never know who will be on top. We are looking forward to
the upcoming competition and look to strive to do well.
Has anybody really surprised you with the start they had to open
the 2010 season?
The upperclassmen have stepped up their game of play. They
have done a great job in their leadership roles.
What is the biggest challenge as your team returns home and
prepares for the heart of your schedule?
Our biggest challenge is to finish each and every game
strong. Communication will be a key to our success.
What are your expectations for the end of the season and into the
postseason?
Our goal is to get back to the heart of the AMCC playoffs. FINISH STRONG!
