Starting pitcher Emma Hahn (Smethport/Smethport) was named team MVP for her value to the team as well as her performance on the field. Hahn had a team-best 1.79 ERA in 2010, which ranked second in the AMCC. Hahn was overpowering on the mound, striking out 104 batters in 125.2 innings of work and led the league in opponents' batting average, holding foes to a .194 batting average. The sophomore was also a second team All-AMCC selection in 2009.
Laura Spiridon (Warren/Warren) was voted on as the team's most improved player. The freshman hit .240 and drove in six runs. She recorded 12 hits with three doubles and one triple and continued to improve day in and day out.
Rookie of the Year went to centerfielder Mary DeMino (Wexford/North Allegheny). DeMino was second on the team with a .359 batting average, but led the team in numerous categories. DeMino ranked first for the Behrend Lions in hits (46), runs (27), RBIs (26), total bases (67), stolen bases (10), triples (5), and plate appearances (128).
Beth Papalia (Warren/Warren) was named the team's leadership and scholarship award winner. This award goes to the individual who demonstrates leadership qualities as well as success on and off the field. The junior hit .226 with 14 hits and 10 runs scored. Papalia was also the selection as the team's representative for the AMCC All-Sportsmanship team.
