Greene Named AMCC Softball Player of the Week

Amy Greene has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Softball Player of the Week. It is the first time this season she has earned the honor.

ERIE, Pa. – Amy Greene has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Softball Player of the Week. It is the first time this season she has earned the honor.

Greene, a junior catcher and first baseman, hit .625 on the week and helped the Lions (10-11, 7-5 AMCC) two win four out of six conference games. She had 10 hits, including two doubles and a home run, while driving in nine and scoring five times.

Greene currently leads the team with a .475 batting average, 28 hits, 16 runs, five doubles and three home runs.

Behrend returns to action on Thursday against Pitt-Bradford. The AMCC doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
