Gruber Earns ECAC South Player of the Week

In addition to being named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week, senior softball player Ashley Gruber has been selected the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Player of the Week.

ERIE, Pa. – In addition to being named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week, senior softball player Ashley Gruber has been selected the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Player of the Week.

Gruber drove in 17 runs on 11 hits, batting .423 to lead the Lions to six wins last week. She had three doubles and three home runs, including a 4-for-4 appearance in the win over Mt. Aloysius. Gruber currently leads the conference with 31 RBIs and is five doubles away from breaking the career record.

Behrend returns to action on Saturday at Penn State Altoona. The AMCC doubleheader begins at 1 p.m.
