Softball Volunteers at City Mission
The Penn State Behrend softball team volunteered their time at the Erie City Mission on Saturday. The team included 11 players and two coaches, who helped prepare foods, serve the less fortunate and assist in the clean-up.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team volunteered their time at the Erie City Mission on Saturday. The team included 11 players and two coaches, who helped prepare foods, serve the less fortunate and assist in the clean-up.
“Volunteering our time is just one small way for our team to give back to the community,” said head coach Stacy Pondo. “We value the life lessons learned from such a great experience.”
The Lions will continue service projects and also offers clinics throughout the year for the community.
Behrend opens the season on March 4 against Wilmington in Fort Myers, Florida. Game time is 1 p.m.
