Grismore Named AMCC Softball Athlete of the Week

Samantha Grismore, a sophomore on the Penn State Behrend softball team, has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week.

ERIE, Pa. – Samantha Grismore (Westfield, NY/Westfield), a sophomore on the Penn State Behrend softball team, has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week.

Grismore hit a team-leading .545 average in a 4-0 week for the Lions. She had the game-winning hits (doubles) in both game one and two against D'Youville. On the week, she had six hits including three-extra base and three RBIs.

Grismore has two triples on 22 hits this season and is batting .355 in 22 games.

Behrend returns to action on Wednesday at Buffalo State. The doubleheader begins at 3:30 p.m.
