ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend freshman Maddie Mulig (Shaler, PA/Shaler) was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Softball Player of the Week, announced on Tuesday.

Mulig was spectacular last week, batting .444 with 10 RBI's. On April 12, the freshman drilled a three-run triple that was critical in the Lions 5-2 conference victory over Mt. Aloysius.

On the season, Mulig second on the team in hitting with a .409 batting average. She has tallied 29 hits, 21 runs batted in, and five doubles.

Behrend will travel to Buffalo State for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 16 at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
