Softball Drops a Pair in Florida
The Penn State Behrend softball team fell to WPI 3-0 and then dropped a 9-6 decision to Haverford on the first day of their spring break trip in Florida.

CLERMONT, Fl. - The Penn State Behrend softball team fell to WPI 3-0 and then dropped a 9-6 decision to Haverford on the first day of their spring break trip in Florida.
Amanda Krolczyk (Union City, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and Sarah Blagg (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) each went 2-for-3 in the opening game. Rachel Miller (North East, PA/North East) pitched the entire game and struck out eight batters, giving up just one earned run.
WPI scored two runs in the fifth and added another run in the sixth on a single home run by Bumila for a 3-0 victory.
Behrend tallied one more run in the seventh inning, but the Fords were able to tack four more runs on to post a 9-6 victory.
The Lions return to action tomorrow against Lake Forest and Manhattanville, beginning at 9 and 11 a.m.
