Banta Named AMCC Softball Player of the Week
Penn State Behrend sophomore outfielder Allania Banta has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week for leading the Lions to a 6-0 week.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend sophomore outfielder Allania Banta (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week for leading the Lions to a 6-0 week.
Banta hit .529 for the week for the Lions. She smacked nine hits, including two doubles, a triple and a home run to amass eight RBIs. She also scored 11 runs and had a .571 on base percentage and a .941 slugging percentage. Against Mt. Aloysius in game one, she had two of the team's five hits in a 1-0 victory.
Behrend returns to action today at Washington & Jefferson. The non-conference doubleheader begins at 3:30 p.m.
