Three Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Justin Rohrer (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin), Rachel Miller (North East, PA/North East) and Sarah Blagg (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) were all named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week for the week ending May 8.

Rohrer earned Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing the first game of baseball's two-game sweep of Pitt-Bradford in their first round playoff matchup Saturday. He threw a complete game, allowing six hits, a walk and only one run while striking out five. Rohrer posted an ERA of 1.29 and converted on both of his assist attempts fielding bunts.

Miller and Blagg played huge roles in the softball team's AMCC Championship victory. As the Pitcher of the Week, Miller only gave up two earned runs for a 0.72 ERA in three wins during the AMCC Tournament. She recorded two shut-out victories, allowing just four hits with no runs against Mt. Aloysius and D'Youville in the championship game. Blagg earned the Player of the Week accolade hitting .333 and driving in four key runs to lead the Lions to the AMCC title. In her four hits, she tallied a double and a triple. Against Altoona, she drove in all three runs, proving to be the difference in a 3-2 win. Blagg also tallied two hits and scored two of the four runs in the first game against D'Youville.
