ERIE, Pa. – Sophomore Sarah Blagg (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) and junior Shannon McDonnell (Fayston, VT/Harwood Union) each earned spots on the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South First Team.

Third base honoree Blagg, paced the squad with a .395 batting average for the season, along with hits (49), runs (37), RBI (32), home runs (3) and slugging percentage (.629). She was second in doubles with 12 and was 5-for-5 in stolen bases. Blagg also had 14 multiple hit games, including an 11-game hit streak was the only Behrend player to post five hits and five RBIs in one game this season.

McDonnell earned a designated hitter (DH) honor. She hit at a .344 clip in a team-leading 125 at-bats. McDonnell was second on the team with 43 hits, including six doubles, four triples, and two home runs. She added 31 runs batted in and 21 runs scored. McDonnell also posted an on-base percentage of .352 and a slugging percentage of .504.
