ERIE, Pa. – The 2017 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Softball Championship, scheduled for May 5-7 at Penn State Behrend, has been cancelled due to the current and forecasted weather conditions.

As the top seed and by conference policies and procedures, Behrend has been declared the AMCC Champion and will receive the automatic berth in the NCAA Division IIII Tournament. The championship is the Lions third straight title and eighth overall.

Behrend entered the tournament with a 26-12 mark and was named the regular-season champions with a 16-2 conference record.

The NCAA Tournament pairings will be announced on Monday, May 8 and regional play is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 12
